SERVICES
Our collection services can pick up anything regardless of size, whether a scheduled run or a one-off. Phoenix has a nationwide transportation fleet that is on call for commercial disposal needs. We have:

At present we do not offer a residential collection service. For residential queries, please contact your nearest branch
Phoenix provides specialised collection services that begin with a member of our experienced collections team visiting your site. An initial consultation allows them to discuss the job directly with you and evaluate the materials that require collection. Safety is one of our top priorities, and our collections experts have years of experience identifying potentially hazardous materials such as asbestos that may be present.
After assessing the materials, we develop a quote based on the type and amount of materials present. Once a collection service is confirmed, the nearest available driver with the appropriate vehicle is assigned to the job.

TRANSPORT
The collections expert responsible for your request is dedicated to facilitating a smooth collection service at every stage: from consultation to post-pick up.
Phoenix is qualified and experienced in transporting materials classified as Dangerous Goods (DG). We have over 50 certified drivers with DG endorsements who can handle batteries and other goods in Class 8 to 9, which require specialised handling and transport.

EFFICIENCY
Phoenix uses ERoad and other electronic systems to monitor and improve fleet utilisation. Greater visibility over the status of jobs and vehicles improves operational efficiency, meaning more efficient routes by coordinating our fleet so that vehicles are full at each stage of their jobs.
NEW
TECHNOLOGY
Phoenix is investing in e-trucks as part of our efforts to further reduce carbon emissions and deliver on our promise of sustainability. Although we are already Toitu Envirocare Net Carbon Zero certified, minimising our emissions further remains an important part of our mission.
Responsible destruction
CERTIFICATES
Phoenix also provides Destruction Certificates on a case-by-case basis that confirm that the requested items were destroyed and recycled through the relevant channels where applicable as part of the Collections service process.

We cannot collect plastic, rubber or cardboard material. If in doubt about what can be collected, please contact your local branch.

Yes, we accept and recycle all battery chemistries. For lead acid battery queries, please contact your local branch. For any other battery type, contact battery@pmrnz.co.nz or call 0800 BATREC / 0800 228 732. Please note - collection is dependent on volume.
