From April 2, our updated name and logo reflects our evolution as a company from a handful of metal recycling yards to a nationwide group that offers a comprehensive, ever-expanding range of materials, products and services. We are so proud of how far the company has come and look forward to raising the bar further.

We are excited to announce our solar panel recycling solution! A first for NZ. As Simeon Brown, his team and Aotearoa businesses and organisations electrify NZ, we will ensure #zerowaste of the very products we rely on for our energy. Accepting every panel type; framed and unframed. 98% of the panel materials are recycled; 2% of material is lost during the recycling process; where particles become too small to be separated and recovered. A fantastic result for another complex specialist waste stream made up of many materials such as aluminium, magnesium, silicon, iron, lead, cadmium, argentum, glass, fibreglass and polyurethane; to name a few.

Another step for us towards creating the 'milk run' of battery recycling. We can announce the acquisition of eCycle Solutions batteries business. Phoenix are professionalising the service further by adding fire proof receptacles, heat sensors and independent 24/7 monitoring where applicable. Our battery milk run is serviced by our own Dangerous Goods transportation certified Phoenix team, enabling end-to-end battery recycling; from Aotearoa to our global recycling partners.

A WINNING TEAM!
In a single night Phoenix Metalman Recycling won the 'Leveraging Investment for International Growth' award at the New Zealand International Business Awards 2023 and were named 'National Fastest Growing Exporter' at the Deloitte Fast 50 Awards! Our Deloitte achievement is attributed to a massive jump in revenue of 481% which earned us a 7th place spot on Deloitte's Index - up from 50th place last year! Our very own Jasmine Faulkner was also recognised as a finalist in the Sustainability Superstar category at the Sustainable Business Network Awards for all her hard work in the battery recycling space. Certainly a night to remember!

Phoenix launches New Zealand’s first nationwide end-to-end battery recycling solution. ‘No battery left behind’. Over 20 subtypes of batteries will be recycled, servicing domestic, commercial, industrial uses. Hundreds of collection points to be installed in towns and cities to make it easy for Kiwis to recycle batteries.
